    A review of 2013 activities from the president\´s perspective reminds us--through the life cycle of change--of the important progress we made in the areas of communities, global membership, and leveraging our role within IEEE. The Web extra at http://youtu.be/qMHPZeDufnQ is a video segment in which IEEE Computer Society President David Alan Grier discusses the Computer Science Education Week Hour of Code, a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code" and show that anyone can learn the basics to be a maker, a creator, and an innovator.
