Abstract
A technique for providing earth station transmitter gain control that operates without the use of pilots or knowledge of the transmitted signal is described. This technique is capable of operating with multicarrier burst traffic. Results are presented showing the performance of this technique with burst traffic as well as the performance when used in conjunction with a predistortion linearizer.<>
