Abstract
Inversion of dual mode surface waves to determine elastic constants of anisotropic material is presented. In the present inversion, two types of surface acoustic wave velocities, the leaky Rayleigh and pseudo leaky Rayleigh modes, have been utilized as primary information. Elastic constants are determined from the directional dependences of both velocities using an optimization procedure. Based on the investigations of the convergence of the solution in inverse problem defined on a cubic crystal, it has been shown that the use of dual mode leaky surface waves considerably improves the stability of the solutions
