Abstract
A real-time module is presented in this paper which is used to track vehicles for the navigation of an autonomous vehicle moving along motorways. Taking a video stream from a standard camera as the input, this module tracks the preceding vehicles and output their positions and speed relative to the host autonomous vehicle. Using Intel´s MMX technology, the module is designed to work in real-time on PC platforms
