Abstract
This paper seeks to offer an overall view of the most significant results obtained once that the research project entitled "Study of short time interruptions in the Spanish electrical network and of methods to minimise their effects" has terminated. This project was carried out within the Electrotechnical Research and Development Programme of OCIDE (PIE no. 132219), that IBERDROLA, in collaboration with the GEDEE Research Group of the Electrical Engineering Department of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the company UITESA, carried out between 1991 and 1995. This paper focuses on: the aspects related to the incidence of conducted electrical disturbances on clients; the systematics followed to propose solutions; the economic evaluation of these incidents; and the recommendations made on the electricity supply quality.
