Abstract :
Based on Wireless Mesh Network (WMN), the clustering structure of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) can be reconstructed. Then, Wireless Mesh Sensor Network (WMSN) was described by combining WSN with WMN. Adopting queuing theory, a multi-hop data transmission model for WMSN is established subsequently. A Multi-hop sleep MAC protocol for WMSN which based on effective listen time of different nodes (MSM) is designed. At last, NS-2 is applied to perform the specific simulation. As the result shows, the combination of WSN and WMN could make the WMSN mesh topology structure with full interconnection between WSN and WMN; the mechanism of multi-hop data transmission WMSN, adopting queuing theory, performs the dynamic adjustment of listen time in different nodes. After using MSM protocol, both throughput and energy efficiency for WMSN are improved.
