Abstract :
This report presents a new developed flexible distribution system over long distances for 12-24 kV and power ratings of 3000 kVA (max 10 MVA). The XLPE-insulated three core cables have been specially design for aerial application on poles as well as for traditional underground and under water use. The new cable system is economically very competitive when compared to traditional systems and presents many overriding technical advantages. More than 500 in air installations have been successfully undertaken during a two year period
