Abstract :
In this paper we present the development of a vision module for the European project named VENFLEX (visual recognition and mechanical handling of flexible materials). In particular, the main goal of this system is to determine the pose of flexible objects. Since the project is in its initial phase, the paper deals mainly with the system set-up and with some preliminary results of the neural networks employed for the segmentation of images
