  • Abstract
    Absence of corresponding IEC standard on the TCSC valves makes it difficult for the users in the evaluation of valve design. Test and operation experience accumulated from several TCSC installations worldwide indicates the type test program and test parameters shall be adequately designed in order to secure normal and abnormal valve operations at various operating modes. As one step to harmonize different type test programs towards an international standard this paper lists the type test duties and related test parameter determinations that should be considered as minimum in the type test design.
