  • Abstract
The paper presents an adaptive focusing technique based on TR and real-coded genetic algorithm (RGA) for a point-like perfectly electrical conducting (PEC) target near dispersive wall. The signals backscattered by dispersive wall are utilized for TR focusing, so only a single antenna is applied. The characteristics of the dispersive wall are unknown, which are solved by RGA after the backscattered signals have been collected. Then the solved characteristics of the wall are set in the TR numerical simulation. A method based on fast Fourier transform (FFT) and inverse filtering technique is used to compensate the lost amplitudes due to dispersive attenuation, while the phase shift is automatically compensated by TR technique itself. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the performance of this method.
