Abstract :
An optical instrument for precise measurement of steam turbines radial size was successfully designed and realized. This system is very useful for on-line monitoring during turbine fabrication of the external palette radial length with high accuracy. The prototype instrument allows a measurement accuracy of 3 mum over a dynamic range of 0.3 mm.
