Abstract
An improved method to retrieve the effective electromagnetic parameters (permittivity and permeability) of left-handed metamaterial (LHM) is proposed in this paper. Simulation results obtained by applying the method to a typical LHM structure agree very well with the reference results. It verifies the validity of this method.
