Abstract
This paper proposes a method for synchronous reluctance motors which selects the appropriate stator d,q-axis current component combination (flux current, torque current) so that the influence of iron core loss on the developed torque can be minimized in torque control. Computer simulation and experimental results show that the proposed control method is comparable to the algorithm which compensates the iron core loss effect
