Abstract :
An improved small-signal model for a discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) single-phase boost power factor preregulator (PFP) is presented. The model is derived using an approximation for the average current equation injected into the output of the power converter. After making small-signal perturbations, both control-to-output voltage and input voltage-to-output voltage transfer functions are obtained. Open and closed-loop experimental results validate the analysis
