Abstract :
The analysis of several so-called high-resolution angle-of-arrival estimation methods is based on the assumption that the sources are point sources. Point sources are mathematical abstractions, which are never encountered in applications, strictly speaking. The influence of extended sources on the performance of the MUSIC and ESPRIT methods is studied
