Abstract :
Spatial correlation is an important characterization of MIMO channel. Based on the mathematical definitions of correlation coefficient, definition of discrete spatial correlation in one-demension case is presented and definitions in two-demension and three-demension case are derived. A simulation is carried out to compare the spatial correlation of vertically and horizontally polarized electromagnetic waves in an indoor environment. Also, the influence of wave frequency on spatial correlation is presented. This simulation is based on Ray-Tracing (RT) /Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD) method.
