Abstract :
A novel intelligent expert system (IES) based on pattern recognition is proposed. According to the patterns of output waveform of closed loop transient response caused by step load disturbance, for instance, attenuence of closed loop response, oscillatory cycle, etc., a mixed intelligent system of Neural Network and Expert Control (NNEC) is presented to automatically determine the control decision and adjust the parameters of the controller accordingly, so as to keep the performance criterion at a satisfactory level
