Abstract :
In order to design wideband pattern reconfigurable antenna, a compact switchable CPW-to-slotline transition feed structure is proposed in this paper. In the slotline feed, one slot of CPW is used as feed line, and the other slot serves as open stub for matching. No other structure is involved for the transition from CPW to slotline. Base on the switchable feed structure, one CPW mode and two slot modes are switched by two PIN diodes for reconfigurable pattern. The proposed antenna is simulated and the critical parameter is studied. The -10 dB bandwidth of all the modes can cover 2.5 GHz (2.9 GHz-5.4 GHz), with the gain better than 2.8 dBi.
