Abstract :
A previously proposed strategy for power control in mobile multimedia terrestrial systems has been extended to match features and needs of mobile satellite networks. The strategy is applied to a DS-CDMA scheme. The improvement in the performance attainable through the use of the proposed strategy is noticeable, as shown in the paper
