Network management for a public land mobile network

In the search for a computer based solution to support all processes needed to run a large public land mobile network (PLMN), the D1 network operator DeTeMobil, has decided to implement a family of management systems according to international network management standards. The result is an operating support system for the D1-PLMN (D1-OSS) based on network mangement functionalities according to ISO 10165 and contains the following: fault management; configuration management; performance mangement; accounting management; and security management. The implementation is based on the principles outlined in CCITT M.3010 recommendation
