Abstract
A dielectric resonator stabilized oscillator with output frequency at 17.4GHz is designed. The oscillator is based on push-push configuration, composed of two identical series feedback dielectric resonator oscillator (DRO). The precise design procedure of series feedback dielectric resonator oscillator is presented and corresponding calculation program is compiled to simplify the simulation and improve the precision. A λ/4 open stub microstrip line is arranged at the output port in order to improve the depression of fundamental frequency. The simulation results show that, the phase noise achieves -120.8 dBc/Hz@10 KHz while the output power at 17.4 GHz is 3 dBm and the suppression of fundamental frequency is better than -50 dBc.
