Abstract
The goal of 3G-satellite communication systems is to deliver multimedia services to the user in the mobile domain. This requires the provision of users data rates that are substantially higher than (up to 384 kbps) those provided by 2G networks. The performance of a WCDMA system; in terms of the capacity and QoS (quality of service) for providing the IMT-2000 services with the LEO satellites constellation design for regional coverage, has been presented.
