Abstract :
The design of multipoint explosive emission cathodes, used for formation of flat, cylindrical, tubular, radial electron beams with duration up to hundreds of microseconds is described. The design provides homogeneous excitation of the electron emission and stability of cathode plasma during the pulse. The cathodes are used in electron beam facilities and are applied for powerful gas lasers, for modification of material properties, generation of microwave radiation, X-ray radiation, etc.
