Abstract :
Permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSMs) have important applications in transportation and industrial control systems for their direct thrust and high power density, etc. Normal force is the most important criteria for the PMLSM, this paper analyze the numerical model to evaluate normal force. Through calculating, simulation and measuring, the traits of normal thrust has been found out, including the trends versus different frequency, different air gap lengths, variable N = U / f, and different number of poles Q. The results are benefit to design and control scheme evaluation for the PMLSM.
