Abstract
Al-doped Bi2MoO6 solid solution photocatalysts were successfully prepared via hydrothermal synthesis method. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The results display that the band gap of the sample is about 2.7eV and the absorption edge of the samples doped by Al have a little red-shift. The photocatalytic activity of the Al-doped Bi2MoO6 samples is evaluated by the decomposition of organic dye Rhodamine B under visible light irradiation (λ >; 420 nm). Different concentration of Al results in different photocatalytic activity. When the concentration of Al is 0.6%, the photocatalyst exhibits the best photocatalytic performance.
