Abstract
This paper reports on experimental results of radio propagation in the underground coal mine. The wireless transmission model of coal mine based on the wireless sensor networks is analyzed. It obtains the relation of RSSI and distance, also receives packet rate and distance by experiments, which provides a reference for deploying sensor nodes in the underground mine. Meanwhile, wireless transmission in coal mine based on wireless sensor networks following multi-path fading model is validated by the experiments and the theoretical analysis, too.
