Abstract
Results generated by a simple model of a profit-driven fishery, implemented as an interactive simulator, are analyzed. First, to verify the correctness of the implementation, results reminiscent of the logistic map are generated and graphed. Then, the simulator is used to predict that a profit-driven fishery, left unregulated, will put itself out of business by depleting the fish population, but a properly regulated fishery can produce a sustainable profit.
