Abstract :
The availability of rapid prototyping methods, and in particular stereolithography, has permanently changed the way many leading companies such as Motorola, Hewlett Packard, Ford Motor Company, and Allen-Bradley prototype new products. This paper briefly reviews stereolithography and ways that stereolithography can be used to create functional prototypes. Specifically it covers applications in injection molding, die casting, and investment casting. Several case histories are covered
