Abstract
The bandwidth performance of an adaptive two- element array with sensor delay lines (SDLs) attached is studied in terms of the inter-spacing between delay line sensors and the number of delay line sensors added. Compared with adaptive arrays with tapped delay-lines (TDLs) the new SDL structure has a better performance in two aspects: its output SINR drops less as the inter-delay within delay lines increases, and a less number of delays and weights is required to achieve the same output SINR than the TDL system.
