Abstract
LTE (Long Term Evolution) based on MIMO-OFDM technology has become the mainstream technology for next-generation wireless communications. Channel estimation is an important part of OFDM receiver, which is the important basis for obtaining channel information, achieving channel equalization and choosing transmission method. In this paper, the LTE channel estimation algorithm based on the pilot location is studied. According to the disadvantage of large computation and complexity about MMSE, a simplified algorithm based on singular value decomposition SVD is used to reduce the operation complexity. Simulation results verified that the performance of improved SVD algorithm is as good as that of MMSE channel estimation algorithm, but the computational complexity is greatly reduced.
