Abstract
An effective approach to resolution enhancement of rooting methods of source localization is introduced. An approach to the statistical analysis of rooting methods is also introduced, and this approach is used to derive signal-root variance and bias expressions which are accurate for SNR down to the resolution threshold region. Simulation results are presented to verify the analysis, illustrating the resolution advantage of this new source localization approach
