  • Abstract
There is a model for traffic circles. During the process, we have done a careful research to the former traffic circles which have already been put into practice. Some inspiration drives us to find a distinctive solution program to control the traffic flow. We name it DSC (Different Speed in the Circle). It regulates some new rules and can be implemented conveniently. The design divides the circle into outer lane and inner lane in DSC. And the speeds in outer lane and inner lane are different. We make full use of the different speeds in different lanes to lengthen the length of interlaced section which is distributed in each quarter of circle. Thus, we solve the interlaced situation perfectly and make the degree of vehicles´ security high enough. Moreover, the speed in outer lane can reach the general speed in straight road. As a result, the average speed in the traffic circle can be increased significantly.
