Abstract :
This paper is concerned with a combining technique of adaptive array antenna and multiple access interference (MAI) cancellation to increase the system capacity in wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA) systems. With fading vector channels and base stations using coherent demodulation, the performance of the proposed combining multi-user detector is analyzed, and the effects of power and cross-correlation thresholds of the interfering signals are also analyzed. The experimental results show that the combining array antenna system achieves an improvement in the overall system capacity with reduced system complexity
