Abstract
In this paper the sensitivity of a 3D image-based ray tracing model for microcellular environments is investigated. The variation of the received power is examined for different ray permutations and wall characteristics. The predictions of the different configurations are compared with narrowband measurements performed in a typical urban area. The analysis illustrates that with 5 orders of reflection and 1 order of diffraction the model produces reliable results. It is also shown that good agreement with measured results can be obtained for wall conductivity in the order of 10-3S/m and values of relative permitivity around 5
