Abstract
Electrohydrodynamical methods are applied to investigate the electrization of the plane channel walls by a stream containing rigid particles. The velocity of the stream has the Poiseuille profile. The channel walls are assumed to consist of individual sections. The lengths of section are very small. A high conductivity section is followed by a dielectric one. Next we have again a dielectric section and so on. The length of the high conductivity section is much more than that of the dielectric section. Therefore, we may think that all charged particles come into contact with the high conductivity sections. We assume that the electric field is external and directed along the axis of the channel. The case were the electric field is directed normal to the axis of the channel was considered previously by the author (1997). Since near the wall the normal electric field strength is equal to zero, the particle gives all its charge to the wall, when it comes into contact with it. The electrization is produced by this process
