Abstract :
This report presents a technique for encoding motion video using a modified fractal block coding algorithm. The encoding algorithm is used as the main component in a video transmission system. The algorithm performs a reduced search through the domain block pool. To enhance performance, the domain block pool is partitioned and a cache is used, where an 8% improvement is shown. Through these techniques, the transmission process can work at speeds of approximately 4 fps
