Abstract :
To study internal force and deformation of concrete frame structure whose plane is arc under temperature variations, it is compared with rectangular and ring-shaped concrete frame structure. Its characteristics are summarized. Results indicate that mechanical behavior of arc-shaped concrete frame structure under temperature variations depends on the position of fixed point- center of rigidity. Radial stress of beams and slabs is mainly bending stress, not enough to cause penetrating cracks. Circumferential deformation is affected by dual constraints. Engineers can not simply use circumferential length to determine the value of thermal stress. Circumferential stress of inner ring with the larger central angle for arc-shaped frame structure may be greater than that with smaller central angle even if structural arrangement is the same. Finally, some reinforcement proposals are given.
