This paper describes a system for helping teen drivers track there experience while training to obtain their driver´s license. The proposed system is a portable in-vehicle device run by an embedded microcontroller that logs student driver hours and mileage and a PC program to create reports from the recorded data. The proposed device uses a GPS receiver to track distance traveled and time spent driving.
