Abstract :
The new configuration of the RFID tag antenna is presented in this paper. It consists of meander-line with arc structure and T-matching technique to accomplish the very small tag antenna for an operation of the frequency band 920-925 MHz, corresponding to the standard of UHF RFID in Thailand. The electrical size of the proposed tag antenna is approximately 0.025λ0× 0.24λ0 or 0.8 mm×79 mm, and it is designed by using NXP G2XL IC chip with the impedance of 21.29-j191.7 Ω at the frequency of 922.5 MHz. The proposed tag antenna obtains the omnidirectional pattern with 0.91 dBi gain. It is fabricated on FR 4 with the thickness of 0.25 mm. The maximum read range is 8 m, which was measured by 4 W EIRP reader.
