Abstract
To manage subscription in service environments, suitable cryptographic algorithms as well as security mechanisms and policies are compulsory. These help to implement a subscription management system which offers a secure subscription and de-subscription to online offered services in a rapidly changing world. Within this paper an agent based infrastructure and its used algorithms are presented which allow a secure online subscription which makes use of re-configurable smart cards as a personally owned security token. Further on the infrastructure offers the secure service deployment within an environment which allows service federation. This system has been developed within a PhD. thesis and was implemented within the ACTS 339 project SCARAB
