Abstract :
Some hypotheses about the effect of temperature on discharge mechanisms are put forward, thus giving a more complete view of partial discharge activity as far as material working conditions are concerned. Results show the possibility, by partial discharge amplitude distributions (PDAD) analysis performed within different test voltage phase windows and with different voltage levels, to model discharge mechanisms inside an enclosed cavity in different thermal conditions
