  • Abstract
Landslide is the phenomenon that rock and soil mass of slope slips along the transfixed failure surface, which was destroyed by shear stress, with the reason that the shear stress in the sliding surfaces exceeds its shear strength. This paper takes Mayanwan Landslide for an example, used the Residual Thrust Force Method, the Janbu´s Method and the Sarma´s Method for stability calculation, based on interpreting the engineering geologic condition and natural environment of the research district and understanding the basic characteristics of the landslide, considering the rain and earthquake conditions.
