Abstract :
This paper discusses the detailed phenomenon of a downward cloud to ground lightning discharge. The VHF broadband interferometry system has been employed to obtain a two-dimensional image of this cloud to ground lightning discharge progressions. From the observation results, the cloud to ground lightning shows a series of strokes and it is typical for a cloud to ground flash. Several discharge events are observed during this lightning. These include initial and subsequent leaders, dart leader, and J- or K-processes. Period of this lightning flash is in the range of hundred milliseconds. The strokes of this flash are of normal polarity, i.e. they lower negative charge to ground
