TEAM X emerged in the 1950s is not a architects firm, more like a academic organization. Architects in TEAM X independently open their business, and their architecture thoughts are quite different from each other, but they came together by questioned the International Modernism Architecture. The various theories of urban and architecture proposed by TEAM X are still referential for China today. More importantly, Criticism, Openness, Tolerance and Independence have been the essential spirit to TEAM X in 30 years of activities. It is very important to study and learning TEAM X spirit, not only for introspection on urban and architecture practices in China today, but for changing the blundering and empty actuality of the contemporary Chinese urban and architectural theory, and promoting Chinese architectural education reform and development.
