Abstract
BRFs of boreal forest conifer canopies were observed and modelled using the MODIS BRDF/Albedo algorithms which included a recently derived Inverse 4-Scale Model. Derived BRDF functions show reasonable agreement with observed BRF. As many inverse models are limited to handling specific situations (such as high or low LAI), the Inverse 4-Scale Model was derived to allow one model use for investigation of a wider variety of canopy conditions
