Abstract
The authors consider how polarimetric investigation of interferometric SAR data can be used for the qualitative interpretation of interferograms. The polarimetric analysis of scattering matrix data enables the extraction of the relevant scattering mechanisms and the determination of scattering processes. An entropy-α-decomposition of full-polarimetric interferometric L- and P-band airborne SAR data has been performed, and the polarimetric properties are discussed, with respect to the interferometric behaviour
