Abstract
Summary form only given. We show nanoscale optical engineering in the complex dielectric permittivity plane to realize photonic synthetic matters on-a-chip, by which unidirectional reflectionless light propagation and asymmetric mode conversion have been experimentally demonstrated at the exceptional point.
