  • Abstract
This paper includes a different approach to analyze the turn-to-turn fault in stator winding of 3phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator. For better life cycle of PMSG it is very much needed to understand the abnormal behavior for earlier protection. Using Winding Function Approach, the abnormal behavior of shorted stator phase current, fault current and change of values of machine parameters has been described in detail and based on this method simulation result will be provided by using dynamic equations. For better understanding, comparison between healthy and faulty PMSG will be done and the analytical approach and simulated results will be verified with practical experiment.
