  • Abstract
    Active surface waves is a method most widely used, which utilizes many geophones to receive the signals from a source. It deals with a depth range from ten to thirty meters. Instead, the depth of investigation of passive surface waves is a few tens even hundreds of meters, Combined use of the active and passive surface waves can solve the problems of the active surface waves that are the shallow depth of investigation and insufficient in formations about the layers.
