  • Abstract
    Microgrids have raised great interest in recent years due to the rapid depletion of fossil fuels, rising demand for electricity power and government policies. In this context, the paper involves the control of a Smart User Network, when an intentional islanding operating condition occurs. The Smart User Network is a microgrid with the distribution realized in Direct Current. The proposed control is based on the DC bus signaling logic; only the DC bus voltage level is used as communication signal. Experimental results are provided to validate the proposed control.
